Found on the main road and easy to find. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Well behaved dogs allowed inside. Dinner service was fast and efficient. Desserts are fairly big !! Food is fairly priced. Recommended for some quick pub grub, nothing fancy, just good hearty meals !!

3 of us nipped in for late lunch yesterday. The choice of food was vast and the service was excellent. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and our dietary requirements were met. So it's a quick thank you from 3 of us, we will be back.

We arrived at short notice for my partners birthday, the food and service was exceptional! By far the best "pub" food i/we've ever had. Would recommend to anyone and anything off the menu
Carvery.. wow 5 star! And I’m fussy! I don’t usually go out for a roast. As nowhere does it as good as at home. Went in for a nosey, saw the real Yorkshire puddings and thought yep looks good. So bought one. Loads of meat, and an abundance of lovely vegetables, cauliflower cheese, different gravy, red cabbage - my fave!!! Was starting to get low on meat, apparanrly it’s super busy when they start that’s why. But plenty enough for me, and they let my dog have the left over parts. Absolutely amazing and lovely chef, lovely staff, all made a big fuss of my dog (huge bonus points!) can’t wait to return. So glad I tried it out today. Great price for really good home made food.
Visiting from Hertfordshire for Easter. The Carvery was excellent. The puddings were yummy. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Dog friendly which was a plus! Reasonable prices. Would definitely be back. Despite the businesses, the place was clean and tables cleared quite quickly. Carvery didn't have a queue either, super on top of it.
A great old pub done up immaculately inside and out. There are different areas inside where you can enjoy a drink, watch some sport on tv or enjoy a lovely meal in an elegant restaurant area. There are even special booths where you can watch football at the table whilst waiting for your food. A great selection of beers and delicious meals served by friendly staff make this a must if you're in or around Buxton.
